On Tuesday morning, at the Downunder Gallery and Café in Coober Pedy, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten met for breakfast with members of Coober Pedy Together, the Administrators of the District Council of Coober Pedy, and the Stakeholder Manager for Peak Iron Mines.

Afterwards the Governor and Mr Bunten undertook a tour of Peak Iron Mines where they received a briefing on ‘big mining’ in Coober Pedy and met with Mr Rob Morrow, Managing Director, Peak Iron Mines and Ms Kerry Mudge, Owner and Managing Director Agile Mining, and staff of both companies.

Later the Governor and Mr Bunten toured Windy Valley Village accompanied by Ms Kassey Bulley, Site Services Manager, Assetlink.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mr Bunten visited the Serbian Underground Church, followed by a viewing of a Modern Dugout, accompanied by the owner Mr Chris Pantelis.

Later the Governor and Mr Bunten undertook a tour of the Coober Pedy Water Plant, and received a briefing by Mr Ben Marcussen, Team Leader, and Mr Gavin Talbot, Electrician.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Bunten met with the Mr Dean Walker, Chair, Ms Dora Mushongera, General Manager, and members of the Umoona Community Council.

Later the Governor and Mr Bunten visited the Stars on Mars site and met with Ms Maria Moore, Line Manager, and Ms Alice Thomas, Production Manager, Eureka Productions.

In the evening the Governor and Mr Bunten visited the Kanku-Breakaways Conservation Park and met with Mrs Chevahn Hoad, Manager Kanku‑Breakaways, Ms Julia O’Toole, AMYAC nominated Chairperson on the Najku‑Breakways Board, and team members.

Later at the Outback Bar and Grill, the Governor and Mr Bunten met with community leaders over dinner.
