On Tuesday morning Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten departed Adelaide for a Vice-Regal visit to the APY Lands, accompanied by the Honourable Joe Szakacs MP, Minister for Police, Emergency Services and Correctional Services and Mrs Hannah Szakacs, and hosted by Mr Grant Stevens APM LEM, Commissioner of South Australia Police and Mrs Emma Stevens.

In Fregon the Governor and Mr Bunten visited the Kaltjiti Arts Centre, and in the afternoon they visited the Ernabella Police Station, followed by lunch.

Later the Governor and Mr Bunten visited Ernabella Arts Centre, Ernabella Anangu School and waterhole, and undertook a general community tour.

Her Excellency the Governor has appointed Dr James Muecke AM to be Governor's Deputy from 7:30 am on Tuesday, 4 October 2022 until 6:00 pm on Wednesday, 5 October 2022.
