On Wednesday Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten continued their Vice-Regal visit to the APY Lands.
In the morning the Governor and Mr Bunten travelled from Yalara to Amata where they visited Cave Hill and Amata Police Station, and in the afternoon visited Umuwa Police Station, followed by a lunch.
Afterwards the Governor and Mr Bunten undertook a general community tour of Coober Pedy and visited the Coober Pedy Police Station, before returning to Adelaide in the evening.
In the afternoon in Adelaide, Mr Sean Keenihan, Chair of StudyAdelaide delivered a speech on behalf of His Excellency Dr James Muecke AM, Governor’s Deputy, at the 2022 Study Adelaide International Students Awards function.
In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten received The Most Reverend Geoffrey Smith, Archbishop of the Diocese of Adelaide and Primate of the Anglican Church of Australia, and Mrs Lynn Smith, followed by dinner.
