On Tuesday morning at Government House, Her Excellency Governor received members of the Legislative Council for the presentation of the President of the Legislative Council.

Also during the morning, Mr Bunten undertook voluntary work with Meals on Wheels.

Later, the Governor received members of the House of Assembly for the presentation of the Speaker of the House of Assembly.

Afterwards, at Parliament House, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, addressed and opened the first session of the 56th Parliament of South Australia. Afterwards at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception for the service and other personnel who supported Her Excellency in the event.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception to launch the Helpmann Academy Impact Report and Helpmann Future Fund. The Governor is patron of the Helpmann Academy.

Afterwards, at SkyCity, the Governor addressed the guests and presented the 2026 Rural Women’s Awad State Winner at the 2026 SA AgriFutures Rural Award State Announcement.
