On Wednesday morning, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten undertook a visit to the City of Tea Tree Gully, where, at Harpers Field Community Hub, they met Ms Marijka Ryan, Mayor, and Mr Ryan McMahon, Chief Executive, City of Tea Tree Gully, who accompanied the Governor and Mr Bunten at a morning tea, followed by a presentation on the Wellbeing Hub and Golden Grove development.

Later, the Governor and Mr Bunten visited Wynn Vale Kindergarten, where they were briefed on the Nature Play facility, and the Governor read ‘Possum Magic’ by Mem Fox to children.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Bunten visited Wynn Vale Community Garden and were briefed on the facility, before the Governor unveiled a commemorative plaque for its 30th Anniversary.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Bunten visited St Francis Xavier School, where they met students and staff, followed by a tour of the School’s Enviro Room and fish breeding facility.

Afterwards, at Modbury, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a luncheon hosted by the City of Tea Tree Gully. Attendees included Active Ageing Members, City of Tea Tree Gully Elected Members and Executive Team.

Later, at Government House, the Governor received Commander Rebecca Wilson ADC RAN, Commanding Officer, HMAS Encounter; and Commander Aaron Scott CSM RAN, Commanding Officer, HMAS Stuart.

In the evening, in the grounds of Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten took part in Embolden’s annual Domestic and Family Violence Remembrance Candlelight Vigil.


During the day, students from St Peter’s Woodlands Grammar School toured Government House.
