On Wednesday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of Executive Council.

In the evening at the Torrens Parade Ground, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, addressed the gathering at a ceremony to farewell Air Commodore Ross Bender, the departing Senior Air Force Representative South Australia and to welcome his replacement, Air Commodore Adrian Maso.
