On Friday morning, at Keswick, Her Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Legacy Club of South Australia and Broken Hill, officially opened, cut the ribbon, and participated as the first torch bearer in the Legacy Centenary Torch Bearer Relay.

In the afternoon, at the Adelaide Showgrounds, the Governor, as patron of Foodbank SA, addressed the guests at the 2023 Foodbank SA Women of Influence Luncheon.

Later, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception for Legacy Centenary Torch Relay legatees, torchbearers and staff.

In the afternoon, the Governor was briefed, by telephone, by The Honourable Katrine Hildyard MP, Minister for Child Protection, on her recent visit to Coober Pedy.

Afterwards, at Her Majesty’s Theatre, the Governor and Mr Bunten, accompanied by The Honourable Vicki O’Halloran AO CVO and Mr Craig O’Halloran, attended a performance of ‘H.M.S. Pinafore’ by the State Opera of South Australia.

During the day, students from Thebarton Senior College toured Government House.
