On Friday morning, at the Netball SA Stadium, Mile End, Her Excellency the Governor, as patron of Netball SA, officially opened the 2023 Nunga Netball Carnival.

Later, during their tour of Government House, the Governor received a delegation of Mongolian Human Rights Leaders hosted by Flinders University under a DFAT Australia Awards Fellowship.

Also in the morning, the grounds of Government House were opened to members of the public as part of the “Lunch on the Lawns” program, including a garden tour conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, and with music provided by the Playford City Council Band.

In the afternoon, at the Adelaide Showground, the Governor, as patron of the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia, presented awards at the Wine Communicators of Australia – 2023 Royal Adelaide Wine and Spirits Awards lunch.

Later, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten received Mr Geoff and Mrs Anne Day, and Ms Kate Stock.

On Sunday 8 October, Government House will hold an Open Day in conjunction with the 2023 Nature Festival. The House and Grounds will be open to the public from 10am to 4 pm.
