On Tuesday morning, in Hanoi, Her Excellency the Governor, who is patron of StudyAdelaide, addressed the guests at the StudyAdelaide Friends of Adelaide Breakfast meeting. The Governor was accompanied by Ms Jane Johnston, Chief Executive, StudyAdelaide; Professor Romy Lawson, Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor, Flinders University; Professor Jessica Gallagher, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Adelaide University; Ms Michaela Bensley, Chief Executive SACE Board; and Ms Narelle Slivak, Department for Education; and Commissioner Cameron Baker, Chair of the South Australian Skills Commission.
Afterwards, the Governor met Her Excellency Ms Gillian Bird PSM, Ambassador of Australia to Vietnam for a briefing.
Later, at the Ministry of Education and Training, the Governor, accompanied by the Ambassador, Ms Johnston, Professors Lawson and Gallagher, Ms Slivak and Mr Baker met Associate Professor Nguyen Van Phuc, Vice Minister of Education and Training. Also present were Mr Taliessin Reaburn and Ms Natalya Twohill, Department of State Development.
Afterwards, at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Governor, accompanied by the Ambassador, Ms Johnson, Mr Reaburn and Ms Twohill, met Ms Phan Thi Thang, Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade.
In the afternoon, the Governor participated in a Roundtable to discuss Green Skills. Also present were Professors Lawson and Gallagher, Mr Reaburn and Ms Twohill.
Later, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Jonathan Cheong, Head of Aviation Business Development, Adelaide Airport, and Mr Reaburn, met Mr Dang Ngoc Hoa, Chairman, Vietnam Airlines.
Afterwards, the Governor addressed the guests at a StudyAdelaide Agent Briefing.
In the evening, at the Ambassador’s Residence, the Governor addressed the guests at a reception hosted by the Ambassador.
