On Wednesday morning, in Beijing, Her Excellency the Governor addressed the guests at the ‘Flinders Futures – Alumni Voices, Student Opportunities’ event, hosted by Flinders University.

Afterwards, the Governor addressed the guests and presented awards at a StudyAdelaide Agent Appreciation event. The Governor is patron of StudyAdelaide.

In the afternoon, over luncheon hosted by His Excellency Mr Scott Dewar, Australia’s Ambassador to China, the Governor met Vice Minister Lu Kang of the International Department of the Chinese Communist Party, before departing Beijing for Jinan.

In the evening, in Jinan, the Governor met the Honorable Mr Zhou Naixiang, Governor of Shandong Province, followed by a walk through of the Shandong Intangible Cultural Heritage Showcase and a banquet in Her Excellency’s honour hosted by Governor Zhou.

Later, the Governor viewed civic illuminations in honour of the 40th anniversary of the Shandong South Australia Sister State Relationship.
