On Wednesday, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten continued their official Vice-Regal visit to the United Kingdom and Japan to promote South Australia.
In the morning in London, the Governor and Mr Bunten met with The Honourable David Ridgway, Agent General for South Australia.
Afterwards the Governor and Mr Bunten met with Mr Bill Muirhead AM and Mrs Jeanne Muirhead.
Later the Governor and Mr Bunten met with Her Excellency Ms Lynette Wood, Acting High Commissioner and Chargé d’Affaires to the Australian High Commission in the United Kingdom, and Dr Christian Hirst, Minister-Counsellor Political and Economic Affairs.
Afterwards the Governor, Mr Bunten, and The Honourable David Ridgway met with Mr Stephen Camporeale, Regional Director UK/Europe, Office of the Agent General for South Australia.
In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Bunten underwent a tour of the Museum of the Order of St John and met with Ms Sarah Wilkinson, Curator.
Later at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a Wine Promotion Event to promote South Australian Wine as part of a wine diversification initiative.
In the evening, the Governor and Mr Bunten met with The Right Honourable David Lammy MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs.
In the evening at Government House, His Excellency The Honourable Chief Justice Christopher Kourakis, as Governor’s Deputy, hosted a reception to celebrate Volunteering SA&NT's 40th Anniversary, on behalf of the Governor, who is patron Volunteering SA&NT, and Mr Bunten.
