On Thursday morning, Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.
In the afternoon, at the Foodbank SA Edwardstown Headquarters, the Governor, as patron of Foodbank SA, was interviewed by ABC Radio presenter Sonya Feldhoff as part of the ABC Gives Appeal.
Afterwards, at the Royal South Australian Society of Arts Gallery, the Governor, who is patron of the Society, and Mr Bunten, viewed the ‘Hannaford and Big Hart’ exhibition.
In the afternoon, His Excellency the Honourable Chris Dawson AC APM, Governor of Western Australia, and Mrs Darrilyn Dawson, arrived to stay at Government House.
Later, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Amicus Global.
Afterwards, at the Adelaide Festival Centre, the Governor, as patron of the Leaders Institute of South Australia, delivered an address and presented awards at the Governor’s Leadership Foundation Graduation Ceremony 2023.
In the evening, at the William Magarey Room, Adelaide Oval, the Governor and Mr Bunten, and His Excellency the Honourable Chris Dawson and Mrs Darrilyn Dawson, attended the twilight service celebration of life honouring Charlie Stevens.
During the day, students from The Heights School toured Government House.
The grounds of Government House will be open to the public today from noon until 2pm for Lunch on the Lawns to celebrate International Day of People with Disability, with music provided by DJ Georgia.
